We are here to support the curricular and recreational information needs of all our staff, teachers and students.

 

Our program will be promoting the very best of young adult’s literature

 

We will work hard to recommend specific reading materials to each individual.

 

We will be working with classroom teachers to help them find materials especially suited to the individual interests and abilities of their class.

 

 

We will support the curriculum through collaboration and innovative projects, students will be learning research and computer skills specifically suited to their developmental needs.

 

Library lessons and activities will stress good Digital Citizenship, helping teens to make safe and ethical decisions when using the Internet.

Computer Use – You may use the computers at Chesterfield High School in accordance with the Acceptable Use form that you signed at the beginning of the year. You will use the computers for educational purposes only during instructional hours. We prefer that begin your searches with www.sweetsearch.com.

 

Printing in the Media Center – You are asked to pay 10 cents for black and white print-outs and 50 cents to $1.00 for color print-outs. You must ask fro permission before printing in color for projects, etc.

 

 

Drop by for a good book - You may check out two books for two weeks. Overdue fees of 10 cents each day will be added to your account.

 

 

Passes are Required – During the school day students must have a pass from their teacher when coming to the media center. Upon entering, students must sign in. Look at the desk clock and record your time in and out.

Chesterfield High School will sponsor a book swap to encourage students to share ideas about great books to fill their dreams!
