Turner named assistant principal

Mr. Turner has served as an educator in South Carolina for the last 28 years, with the past 13 years in Lee County School District.  He began his career as a high school career and technology automotive teacher in Richland County, where he worked for two years.  Mr. Turner has served as a head varsity football coach and athletic director within the school system during his tenure as a classroom teacher and assistant principal.  He also served as a driver education instructor.  He has been a school administrator for 13 years, including being a principal for seven of those years.  In his most recent position, he served as the Principal of Lee Central High School.  

Mr. Turner earned an Associate Degree in Automotive-Diesel Technology from Florence-Darlington Technical College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management from Morris College.  He went on to earn a Master of Education degree in Administration Leadership and a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  Most recently, he has been certified by the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles as a third-party tester.  

Mr. Turner resides in Bishopville, South Carolina with his wife and daughter.
